Death/traitors
On November 16, Muddguts will host a pop-up with the inimitable death/traitors, an arts and apparel project spearheaded by prolific punk artist and designer Alexander Heir. While he is best known in punk and hardcore circles for his stunningly macabre gig flyers, Alex has also produced work for a number of respected artists from John Carpenter to legendary Crass-records outfit, The Mob. In addition to his visual work, Heir is the frontman for the band L.O.T.I.O.N.
Equal parts morbid and humorous, the visual landscape of Deathtraitors is rich with symbolism and pulls no punches in it’s scathing critique of capitalism and power. In addition to Alex’s dedication to punk community and a DIY ethos, it this unwavering political orientation that sets him apart from his contemporaries and makes him a uniquely fitting collaborator with Muddguts.
In addition to all current Deathtraitors products, our pop-up will feature exclusive color variations, recent prints, and new shirts, scarves, and patches created especially for Muddguts. Alex will also be showing original artwork (that will be for sale) in our gallery.
