muddguts is delighted to present the opening of The Green Room, a solo show by Brooklyn-based artist Matt Leines. Matt has shown his phantasmagoric paintings and illustrations internationally and has been widely lauded for his freaky and riveting output. This is his first solo show in five years.

This long-awaited and playfully raw new body of work shifts away from his primal, undulating dreamscapes and into a distinctly graphic landscape populated by disorientingly whimsical creatures. The Green Room also features Matt’s first true foray into sculpture, a medium that he says has taught him about the transcendent quality of imperfection. These works are among the 50 new pieces for sale.
